Some curious recent events in the Socialist Party (Part I)

Sudden resignation of Eric Besson, one of Mme Royal’s right-hand men and advisers.

Eric Besson, Member of the French parliament for Drome, and the Socialist Party’s national secretary, was until recently in charge of economic and taxation matters, and therefore of calculating the total cost of the Socialist Project for the Presidential and Legislative elections : will it amount to € 35 billion, more, or less? It’s anybody’s guess. The internal contradictions between extreme left-wing and more moderate Socialist members, their disagreements, and other controversies, exerted such pressure on him that he finally resigned on February 14.
